With the London Open Butterfly Grand Prix being played last weekend and only two more events left in the calendar, now is a great time for a quick round up.

Stephen Denny Leads The Pack
This season’s most successful player so far is Stephen Denny with his excellent performances in the Restricted Men’s category winning four of the seven events so far at Leeds, Newcastle, Doncaster and Blackpool; this is more than anyone else this season. Close on his heels is the defending Men’s champion Gavin Rumgay and Chinese ace, Shu Ying Xu, both with three wins each in the Men’s and Women’s categories respectively.

A Close Run Thing
The U21 Women’s is a close run thing, with Hannah Hicks, Naomi Owen and Rachel Jamieson all with two wins a piece. With no Naomi Owen or Hannah Hicks in attendance can Rachel Jamieson pull away from the pack, or will round 1 winner Claire Nelson join the club?

No Winning Streaks
With eight rounds completed nobody has managed to string together a series of wins in the Men’s Band 2, 3 and 5 or in the Women’s Band 2 and 3. Will these competitive categories produce yet another new winner this weekend?

Tees Sport Player of the Tournament:
City of Liverpool: Kevin Dolder
Leeds: Remi Petrosius
Newcastle: Melissa Wright
Bristol: Chris Doran
Medway: Daniel Basterfield
Doncaster: Ben Barlow
Blackpool: Sam Walker
London: Miles Collins
